About Crammify
The study app built for people who found their existing options either boring or paywalled.
Crammify started as a fix for a personal problem: the existing study apps either felt like homework about my homework, were too power-user for normal students, or only worked when a teacher set them up. I wanted something I'd actually open on a Sunday.
So I built the thing I wanted: two AI tutors in one app— a 🗣️ Language Tutor with sequential lessons, and a 📚 School Tutor for AP/SAT/ACT/K-12 study sets (with Quiz Battle, a fast-paced speed quiz game). With personality. Eleven different mascot study buddies, each with their own voice — your study app shouldn't feel like a textbook.
And the best part: it isn't just for school. Studying for a job interview? Crammify. Memorizing Elden Ring boss patterns? Crammify. Learning Italian for a trip? Crammify. Trying to perfect sourdough hydration? Yeah, that too.
Why it's free in the browser
The free tier stays free — 5 lessons a day across both tutors (Language and School), 10 hearts a day, all 3 mascots, and the featured deck library. The iPhone app is where the paid tiers live (Plus $4.99/mo with a 3-day free trial, Pro $9.99/mo). Nobody should have to pay just to try the basics. Servers and the AI cost money, so the iOS subscriptions cover that.
What it's built on
- Claude (Anthropic) for the AI generation — Haiku for fast tools, Sonnet for harder ones
- Next.js + Vercel for the website
- Supabase for auth + saved decks + live multiplayer (Realtime broadcast channels)
- Tailwind CSS, custom mascot SVGs, way too many CSS animations
What's next
- iOS app (Capacitor wrapper — now live on the App Store)
- More languages across the Language Tutor
- More featured decks and more Quiz Battle topics in the School Tutor
- Whatever students/users tell me they actually want
— Zayden, somewhere in Miami, probably avoiding actual homework
